Keren Castellanos, 16 years old, Los Pinos, Tegucigalpa, Honduras."In the community of Los Pinos, Tegucigalpa, a marginal and poor area, we held a series of workshops on the 3Rs (three Rs) Reuse, Reduce, Recycle. The workshop was given to boys and girls between the ages of 12 and 15. We discussed the themes of the SDGs, especially SDG number 3 - Climate Action. The boys and girls did a word search at the end of the workshop, looking for and defining words related to climate. A snack was given out and they were invited to the next meeting in a week."

"In Monterrey, trash on the streets is a part of the landscape of our town. We young people couldn't just do nothing, so we decided to take action. We went out to raise awareness amongst the population, so that together we can make a change. My team (CoNatura) and I work in the Monterrey Metropolitan Area and its surroundings, where there is a large population that lives their lives amidst the stress of the city and forgets the importance of taking care of the environment."

"We have set up ab organic community garden in the local high school, working with students and young volunteers. In turn, we held workshops where we provided information on how to lead an environmentally sustainable lifestyle".

"I decided to carry out a project that I have called 'For a better planet, let's clean the beaches of Anconcito'. It consists of making the community aware that it is harming the environment by throwing garbage into the sea that takes thousands of years to disappear in the sea".

"We partnered with the Lya Foundation, who collaborated with us by planting the little trees that were donated by the authorities of our town. We planted around 20 trees in two different parks".

"The environmental watch was carried out on a tourist beach in our province of Santa Elena, La Libertad. On the pier we collected the garbage, four teenagers participated, and we also picked up cigarette butts. It was impressive to see how in the small space that we passed by we were able to find about 15 cigarette butts. The people who saw us asked us what we were doing, we informed them and some told us that they were going to write to us because they also wanted to participate. It was very good, as we managed to raise awareness among some people."
