We were received at the Santiago, Chile Airport. It was an adventure that brought us many emotions, we were tired by the long trip from Costa Rica, stress by the luggage, and arriving in an unknown country was very exciting; we waited for 20 minutes more or less to the America Solidaria volunteers come for us. The truth is that I felt relief when I saw him coming in and I recognized him by the t-shirt with the foundation logo, at that moment my soul came back to my body.
He took us to a Hostel where we saw a lot of young people from different countries that were staying there too and came to know the country; the guys loved this because this kind of things don’t happen where we live. We settle there and the others couldn’t sleep because there were very excited about the trip and all the new situations they were living.
At noon we met part of the city of Santiago walking and we traveled by subway, it was a new and exciting experience for the guys. Then, the event started with an emotive inauguration, we were moved to the Loyola house, but that’s another story and I’ll tell you later.
