Project description:

“Closing gaps” is a project led by a group of young people of the El Pinar church (Canelones-Uruguay) for 6 years. The bill deals the social exclusion problem, seeking link south and north of the neighborhood. The link we want to create is through children and adults, to whom we try to integrate in spite of origin, economic situation, gender, race, or religion with games and teamwork. The project points to the reduction and end of poverty, and also inequality, knowing that social integration is the way to get through it to make more sustainable our communities and cities since integration allows peaceful coexistence, and create alliances to achieve goals. In our project, different actors are part, like the neighborhood, the community, and even shops from the area, showing that everybody has something to contribute.
