Manitos is a community initiative that promotes the use of Paraguayan Sign Language through its dynamic teaching and aims to transmit values such as empathy, respect, patience and tolerance. Manitos is being developed in the Basic School number 2960 "Miguel Ángel Rodríguez" in Ñemby, where we work once a week with children, teachers and volunteers. The Manitos project aims to help achieve quality education, reduce inequalities, promote empathy, eradicate the exclusion of deaf people in society and create links and bridges to break down communication barriers, so as to form a generation that values the importance of connecting with different people, even when that means more effort. We aim to help people understand that there is beauty and strength in diversity, as differences enrich us and respect and inclusion unite us. Change first begins within ourselves.
