Project description:


Nicaragua has been living for many years with high rates of femicide, sexual abuse, and teen pregnancy. This is how the project “Empowered girls and new masculinities” is created. The project not only focuses on work with girls but also with young people and adults of the opposite gender. One of the goals is built together new concepts of masculinity and contribute to the youth empowerment, giving new perspectives of if it is possible living in a place without violence and abuse. This is how this group of teenagers is committed to support the construction of equal societies This is how this group of teenagers is committed to support the construction of equal societies where girls don’t born in disadvantage and have the same opportunities as boys. They are committed to support them in each process to turn them into empowered women, expand their aspirations, develop their aptitudes and abilities to chase and reach their goals.
