Jimena Anléu and Eyleen Menchú are two young Guatemalan Concausa rebels, who in 2018 presented their project “Girls helping Girls” at the ECLAC.
Eyleen, an active participant in the Concausa youth network, encouraged her classmates to hold a talk with young people in her area, taking into account the 2030 Agenda and the International Encounter for Youth in the Americas and the Caribbean; Concausa.
"We shared it with the Departmental Network Las Niñas Lideran (to which we belong and together with whom we carry out our project). We told them how we were selected for Concausa, also the process from June to November where we always kept in touch with the group to prepare for the big event in Chile. Next we mentioned the experience of being trained as Concausa Rebels, exposing our projects in front of people, receiving feedback and learning how to strengthen them. We told them about when the big day came, the day of the exhibition at ECLAC, and we shared what we had said. We motivated them to undertake a sustainable project to solve a problem of the community."
